Trycksänkning

Trycksänkning is a Swedish term that translates to "pressure reduction" or "pressure drop" in English. It refers to a decrease in pressure that occurs as a fluid, such as a liquid or gas, flows through a system. This phenomenon is common in various engineering and natural processes.

In fluid dynamics, trycksänkning is often observed when a fluid passes through constrictions, such as narrow pipes, valves, or filters. As the fluid's velocity increases in these restricted areas, its pressure tends to decrease according to Bernoulli's principle. This pressure drop can also be caused by friction between the fluid and the walls of the conduit, or by internal friction within the fluid itself (viscosity).
