Tegutsejale

Tegutsejale is an Estonian noun form meaning “to the actor” or “for the doer.” It is the allative case form of the base noun tegutseja, which designates a person or entity that acts, operates, or is active. The allative suffix -le marks direction toward someone or something and functions here to express recipient or beneficiary in a sentence.

Tegutseja itself is a noun formed from the verb tegutsema, which means “to act” or “to operate.” As a compound noun, tegutseja refers to the agent or doer—an actor, practitioner, or operator. The form tegutsejale is used when the action is directed at the actor or when the actor is the beneficiary or recipient of an action, similar to a dative-like function in languages that have a dedicated dative case.

In usage, tegutsejale appears primarily in sentences involving giving, addressing, or directing something toward the actor, as well as in formal or administrative language. It can indicate the recipient of a document, the addressee of a message, or the party to whom a responsibility or benefit is allocated.
