Tarraconensis
Tarraconensis was one of the three Roman provinces in Hispania, the Iberian Peninsula, established after the Roman conquest. It was created in 27 BCE during the administrative reforms of Emperor Augustus. The province encompassed a large territory in the northeastern part of the peninsula, extending from the Pyrenees in the north to the Guadalquivir river in the south, though its exact southern boundaries fluctuated over time.
