Tömegáramlási refers to the mass flow rate, a fundamental concept in fluid dynamics and engineering. It quantifies the amount of mass of a substance that passes through a given surface per unit of time. The standard SI unit for mass flow rate is kilograms per second (kg/s).

It is calculated by multiplying the density of the fluid by the volumetric flow rate and the cross-sectional area through which the fluid is flowing. Mathematically, it can be expressed as ṁ = ρ * A * v, where ṁ is the mass flow rate, ρ is the density, A is the cross-sectional area, and v is the average velocity of the fluid. Alternatively, it can be derived from the volumetric flow rate (Q) as ṁ = ρ * Q.

Mass flow rate is a crucial parameter in various applications. In chemical engineering, it is essential for controlling reaction rates and ensuring proper mixing of reactants.
