Sohncke Group, also known as the Sohncke Group or Sohncke subgroup, is a concept in crystallography related to the description, classification, and analysis of crystal and molecular symmetry. The term refers to a sub-group of the point group, introduced by the German mathematician and mineralogist Carl Friedrich Sohncke in 1879.

Sohncke Groups are derived from the list of 32 point groups, which describe the symmetry operations that an object can have without being identical to the original. These point groups are classified into seven crystal systems, each consisting of multiple classes and orders. Within this broader context, the Sohncke Group acts as a subset of point operators, considered solely on the even operations (rotations) and twofold screw rotations, disregarding reflection operations.

The introduction of the Sohncke Group was aimed at identifying subgroups corresponding to the higher lattices found in minerals and organic compounds. These can display multiple B-hierarchy in each space group, which needs to be reduced to Sohncke factors of simple Brillouin zone becoming correspondence. These Sohncke Group strata in deep complicated molecular materials support aggregate orders.
