Sklave

Sklave is a term originating from the Latin word "sclavus," which historically referred to people of Slavic origin who were captured and enslaved, particularly during the early Middle Ages. Over time, the meaning of "Sklave" broadened to encompass a general state of being owned and controlled by another person, a condition known as slavery. This system involves the subjugation of individuals, depriving them of their freedom and treating them as property.

Throughout history, various societies have practiced slavery in different forms. Economic systems, social hierarchies, and legal frameworks have all contributed to the establishment and perpetuation of slavery. Labor in agriculture, mining, domestic service, and warfare were common roles for enslaved individuals. Resistance, escape, and rebellion were also significant aspects of the history of slavery, reflecting the inherent desire for freedom among those who were oppressed.
