Sitoutumisluvut, also known as "sitout numbers" or "sit-out numbers," are a concept in the game of poker, particularly in Texas Hold'em. They refer to the number of players who have folded their hands before the action reaches a particular player. This number can significantly impact a player's strategy and decision-making process.

In Texas Hold'em, the dealer button, or "button," rotates clockwise around the table. The player to the left of the button is the first to act pre-flop, followed by the player to their left, and so on. The number of players who have folded before it's a player's turn to act is known as their sitout number.

For example, if there are four players in a hand and the first player folds, the second player's sitout number is 1. If the second player also folds, the third player's sitout number is 2. This information can be crucial for a player to assess the strength of their hand relative to the remaining players.
