Seismologinen
Seismologinen is the Finnish word for seismological. It refers to anything related to seismology, the scientific study of earthquakes and the propagation of elastic waves through the Earth and other planet-like bodies. This field investigates the causes of earthquakes, their distribution, and the underlying processes within the Earth's interior. Seismological research also encompasses the study of seismic waves generated by non-natural sources, such as explosions.
Instruments used in seismological studies are called seismometers or seismographs, which detect and record ground motion.
