Sademuodostus refers to the process by which water vapor in the atmosphere condenses and falls to the Earth's surface as precipitation. This phenomenon is a crucial part of the Earth's water cycle. The initial stage involves the evaporation of water from oceans, lakes, rivers, and even plants, turning into invisible water vapor that rises into the atmosphere. As this moist air ascends, it encounters lower temperatures, causing the water vapor to cool and condense around tiny particles like dust, salt, or pollen, known as condensation nuclei. This condensation forms clouds, which are essentially collections of microscopic water droplets or ice crystals. When these droplets or crystals grow large enough and become too heavy to remain suspended in the air, they fall to the ground as various forms of precipitation, including rain, snow, sleet, or hail, depending on the atmospheric temperature. The specific conditions within a cloud dictate the type of precipitation that will form. For instance, if the temperature throughout the atmosphere from the cloud to the ground is above freezing, rain will fall. If temperatures are below freezing, snow is likely.
