Romancë
Romancë is a term sometimes used to refer to the Romance languages, a group of languages that are all descendants of Vulgar Latin. These languages originated in the Roman Empire and have since evolved into distinct tongues spoken across various parts of Europe and beyond. The most prominent Romance languages include Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Romanian. Other languages, such as Catalan, Occitan, and Galician, are also considered part of this linguistic family. The similarities between these languages are evident in their grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure, reflecting their shared Latin heritage. The study of these linguistic relationships is known as Romance philology. The term "romance" itself is derived from the Latin word "romanicus," meaning "Roman."
