Rokossovka

Rokossovka is a village located in the Chernyakhovsky District of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers south of Chernyakhovsk, the administrative center of the district. The village is part of the Presnovskoye rural settlement.

Historically, Rokossovka was part of East Prussia before World War II. Its German name was Groß Lindenau. Following the war and the redrawing of borders, the area became part of the Soviet Union, and the village was renamed. The current name, Rokossovka, is believed to be in honor of Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky, a prominent Soviet military leader who played a significant role in the Eastern Front during World War II.

The economy of Rokossovka, like many rural settlements in the region, is primarily based on agriculture. The surrounding lands are used for farming, and livestock raising is also a common activity. The village infrastructure includes basic amenities serving the local population. Access to Rokossovka is typically via local roads connecting it to larger settlements in the Chernyakhovsky District.
