Pkf
In chemistry, pKf refers to the negative base-10 logarithm of the formation (stability) constant for the formation of a complex between a central metal ion and one or more ligands in solution. It is a dimensionless quantity used to compare how tightly different ligands bind a metal, and it is analogous to pKa or pKb in acidity and basicity scales.
For a simple binary complex formed by a metal M with a ligand L, the formation constant
Higher pKf values indicate more stable metal–ligand complexes and stronger affinity. pKf is used in modeling
Data on pKf values are compiled in stability constant databases and serve as inputs for chemical speciation
