PUVAterapier
PUVA therapy is a type of phototherapy used to treat certain skin conditions. The name PUVA is an acronym derived from Psoralen, a photosensitizing drug, and Ultraviolet A (UVA) light. The treatment involves administering psoralen, either orally or topically, to the patient, followed by exposure to UVA radiation. Psoralen makes the skin more sensitive to light, and UVA light then penetrates the skin.
The combination of psoralen and UVA light works by reducing inflammation and slowing down the rapid growth
While effective, PUVA therapy has potential side effects. These can include nausea, headaches, and skin redness
