Oekavaný

Oekavaný is a rarely attested linguistic adjective used in some Czech- and Slovak-language dialectology writings to describe the Oekavian variant of the yat reflex within the South Slavic dialect continuum. The term is encountered mainly in scholarly discussions of how different dialects realize the yat phoneme, in contrast to other patterns such as Ekavian, Ijekavian, or Ikavian.

In Czech and Slovak orthography, the term is inflected as oekavaný (masculine), oekavaná (feminine), and oekavané

Usage and reception: Oekavaný is chiefly found in specialized linguistic texts and is not a standard term
