OWAMP
OWAMP stands for One-Way Average Measurement Protocol. It is a network measurement protocol designed to measure one-way IP performance metrics such as packet loss and delay variation, also known as jitter. OWAMP is an extension of the two-way active measurement protocol (TWAMP) and addresses some of its limitations by enabling one-way measurements. This is particularly useful in scenarios where synchronized clocks between the measurement endpoints are not feasible or when measuring across different administrative domains.
The protocol operates by having a control connection between two endpoints, a reflector and a client. The
