Nettojäähdytysteho refers to the net cooling effect produced by a refrigeration system. It represents the useful cooling output after accounting for internal energy losses within the system. Essentially, it's the amount of heat that the system can remove from a space or process.

The gross cooling capacity is the total heat absorbed by the evaporator. However, the compressor consumes energy, and some of this energy is transferred to the refrigerant as heat. Additionally, heat can leak into the refrigerant lines from the surroundings. Net cooling capacity is calculated by subtracting these losses from the gross cooling capacity.

This metric is crucial for accurately sizing refrigeration equipment for specific applications. A higher net cooling capacity means the system is more efficient at removing heat. Factors influencing net cooling capacity include the ambient temperature, the temperature difference between the cooled space and the surroundings, and the efficiency of the refrigeration cycle components.
