Nationalmuseets

The National Museum of Denmark, known in Danish as the Nationalmuseet, is Denmark's largest cultural history museum. Located in Copenhagen, it houses extensive collections spanning Danish and foreign cultures from the Stone Age to the present day. The museum's origins trace back to the Royal Cabinet of Curiosities, established in 1650, but it officially became the National Museum in 1849.

The Nationalmuseet's collections are vast and diverse, encompassing archaeological finds, ethnographic artifacts, historical objects, and art. Key exhibits include prehistoric Danish artifacts such as the Golden Horns of Gallehus, Viking Age treasures, and items from the Danish colonial past.
