Mozgatóizmok, also known as motor neurons, are nerve cells that form the communication pathway between the central nervous system and the muscles. Conditions like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, directly affect motor neurons, leading to progressive muscle weakness and paralysis. Polio is another disease that targets motor neurons, causing muscle atrophy and potentially permanent disability. Understanding the role and structure of motor neurons is crucial for diagnosing and treating these debilitating conditions.
