Monsungebiete refers to regions experiencing a monsoon climate. This type of climate is characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons, which are caused by the seasonal reversal of wind direction. Typically, during the summer months, prevailing winds blow from the ocean towards the land, bringing heavy rainfall.
