Meristemvävnader, also known as meristematic tissues, are a type of plant tissue characterized by their ability to divide and differentiate into other types of tissues. There are two types of lateral meristems: vascular cambium and cork cambium. Vascular cambium is located between the xylem and phloem and produces secondary xylem and phloem. Cork cambium is located in the outer layers of the plant and produces secondary cortex and periderm.
