Makeuttamisen

Makeuttamisen, also known as Makeuttamisen Temple, is a historic Hindu temple located in the village of Makeuttamisen, near the town of Kumbakonam in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is an important pilgrimage site for Vaishnavas. The temple complex includes the main sanctum sanctorum, which houses the image of Lord Vishnu, as well as several other shrines dedicated to various deities. The temple is known for its intricate architecture and beautiful sculptures, which reflect the Dravidian style of temple construction prevalent in South India during the Chola period. The temple is also surrounded by a large tank, which is believed to have been constructed by the Cholas to provide water for the temple and its devotees.
