Maakonnaline

Maakonnaline is an Estonian adjective that translates to "county-level" or "regional." It is used to describe something that pertains to, originates from, or is organized at the level of an Estonian county, known as a *maakond*.

In administrative and governmental contexts, maakonnaline refers to services, bodies, or responsibilities that are managed or provided by the county government or across the entire territory of a specific county. For instance, one might refer to "maakonnaline arengukava" (county-level development plan) or "maakonnaline ühistransport" (county-level public transport).

The concept of maakonnaline is important in understanding the structure of public administration and service provision in Estonia. While Estonia has undergone various administrative reforms, the county remains a significant administrative unit.
