MOSFETlähteeseen
MOSFETlähteeseen refers to the source terminal of a Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (MOSFET). In a MOSFET, the source is one of the three main terminals, alongside the gate and the drain. It is the terminal through which charge carriers (electrons for n-channel MOSFETs, holes for p-channel MOSFETs) enter the channel. The voltage at the source terminal plays a crucial role in controlling the conductivity of the channel between the source and the drain. When the gate-to-source voltage (Vgs) exceeds the threshold voltage (Vt), the transistor turns on, allowing current to flow from drain to source or vice-versa, depending on the MOSFET type and biasing. The source terminal is typically connected to the common reference potential or to a voltage that determines the operating point of the transistor. It is the origin of the mobile charge carriers that form the conductive channel.
