Kultúrája

Kultúrája is a Hungarian grammatical form meaning "its culture" or "the culture of someone or something." It is the third-person singular possessive form of the noun kultúra, which denotes culture in a broad sense, including arts, traditions, values, and social practices.

Etymology and form: The noun kultúra is borrowed from Latin cultura, via German Kultur or French culture, as part of the modernization of Hungarian vocabulary in the 18th–19th centuries. In Hungarian, possessive suffixes attach to nouns to indicate ownership or association. For third-person singular possessive, the suffix -ja (or -je, depending on vowel harmony) is added, and when the stem ends in a vowel, a linking vowel appears, yielding kultúrája. The form is declined in sentences depending on case, e.g., kultúrája, kultúráját, kultúrájának, etc.

Usage: Kultúrája is used when the subject of discussion has a culture that belongs to a third person or object. Examples: "A város kultúrája gazdag és sokszínű."
