Kreankieli

Kreankieli is a constructed language created by Swedish linguist and lexicographer Johan Vising. Its name is derived from the Swedish words "kreativ" (creative) and "klinga" (to sound). Vising developed Kreankieli in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, aiming to create a logical and easy-to-learn language.

The grammar of Kreankieli is designed to be regular and without exceptions, a common goal for many constructed languages. Its vocabulary is largely inspired by Germanic languages, particularly Swedish, though it also incorporates influences from Romance languages. Vising published a dictionary and a grammar for Kreankieli, which were intended to be used for international communication. While Kreankieli did not achieve widespread adoption as a global auxiliary language, it represents an interesting example of linguistic experimentation from its era. Its structure and vocabulary offer insights into the linguistic preferences and aspirations of its creator.
