Kütusevarustussüsteem is the Estonian term for a fuel supply system in a vehicle. It is a critical component responsible for delivering fuel from the storage tank to the engine. The system typically comprises several key parts working together to ensure efficient and reliable engine operation.

The fuel tank is the primary storage unit for the fuel. From the tank, a fuel pump is responsible for drawing the fuel and pushing it through the system. In modern vehicles, this is usually an electric pump, often located within the fuel tank itself. The fuel then travels through fuel lines, which are durable tubes designed to withstand fuel pressure and prevent leaks.

Before reaching the engine, the fuel usually passes through a fuel filter. This filter removes impurities and debris from the fuel, preventing them from entering and potentially damaging sensitive engine components like injectors. The fuel pressure regulator plays a vital role in maintaining a consistent fuel pressure within the system, ensuring the engine receives the correct amount of fuel for optimal combustion.

Finally, the fuel is delivered to the engine's combustion chambers, either through fuel injectors (in modern gasoline and diesel engines) or a carburetor (in older gasoline engines). The precise control of fuel delivery by the system directly impacts engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions.
