Jáloris

Jáloris is a fictional planet located in the Kepler-186 star system, approximately 500 light-years from Earth. It is the fifth and outermost known planet in its system, orbiting a red dwarf star. Jáloris is a terrestrial planet, roughly 1.5 times the size of Earth, and is believed to possess a dense atmosphere primarily composed of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, with trace amounts of methane.

The surface of Jáloris is characterized by extensive volcanic activity and a thin, frigid atmosphere. Due to its distance from the Kepler-186 star, the planet receives significantly less solar radiation than Earth, resulting in extremely low surface temperatures. The presence of liquid water on Jáloris is highly unlikely, though subsurface ice deposits may exist. Geological studies suggest a molten core, contributing to the planet's active volcanism.

Jáloris has a single, small moon, provisionally named Lyra. The planet's axial tilt is minimal, leading to negligible seasonal variations. Initial observations indicate a lack of a substantial magnetic field, which could expose the surface to higher levels of stellar radiation. The Kepler-186 system is known for its five planets, all of which orbit within the habitable zone of their star, with the exception of Jáloris.
