Isesõnad
Isesõnad, also known as reflexive verbs, are a type of verb that includes a reflexive pronoun as part of its structure. These pronouns indicate that the subject of the verb is also the object, meaning the action of the verb is performed by the subject on themselves. In Estonian, isesõnad are formed by adding a reflexive suffix to the verb stem. The most common reflexive suffixes in Estonian are "-ma" and "-maks". For example, the verb "tõmmata" (to pull) becomes "tõmmama" (to pull oneself) when used reflexively. Isesõnad are used to express actions that are performed by the subject on themselves, such as "ta tõmmab ennast" (he pulls himself). They are also used to indicate that the action is performed by the subject on themselves as a result of an external cause, such as "ta tõmmab ennast" (he pulls himself) when referring to a situation where someone is pulling him. Isesõnad are an important part of the Estonian language and are used to convey a wide range of meanings and nuances.
