Inertiaalipölynkerääjät

Inertiaalipöly, a Finnish term, translates to "inertial dust" in English. It refers to microscopic particles that are suspended in a fluid, such as air or water, and exhibit inertia. This means that these particles resist changes in their state of motion. When the fluid medium accelerates or decelerates, the inertial dust particles will lag behind or continue moving due to their mass.

The concept of inertial dust is important in various scientific and engineering fields. In atmospheric science, it plays a role in the transport of pollutants and aerosols. The movement of wind can carry these particles, but their inertia can cause them to deviate from the airflow, influencing where they eventually settle.
