Gemelgem

Gemelgem is a human settlement located in Orientale, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It serves as the administrative center of the region of Gemena.

The town is situated near the banks of the Napo River and the Congo River, along the River Ubangi waters from Lake Tanganika to the Congo. The Ruki River also joins the Ubangi River about 30 kilometers from Gemelgem.

Administratively, Gemelgem is part of the Équateur Province, and within the Équateur Province it is the Gemena Territory's emplacement. The use of Gemelgem is unique as it is technically located directly west of the territorialofficialis town mainland headquarters.
