Fotoszintizálnak

Fotoszintizálnak is a Hungarian verb that translates to "photosynthesize" in English. It describes the biological process by which green plants, algae, and some bacteria use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create their own food in the form of glucose (a sugar) and release oxygen as a byproduct. This process is fundamental to life on Earth, as it forms the base of most food chains and produces the oxygen that most organisms breathe.

The key components of photosynthesis are chlorophyll, the green pigment found in plant cells that absorbs light energy, and chloroplasts, the organelles within plant cells where photosynthesis takes place. Light energy captured by chlorophyll is used to split water molecules, releasing electrons and protons. These are then used in a series of chemical reactions to convert carbon dioxide from the atmosphere into glucose. Oxygen is released as a waste product.
