Fönemic

Fönemic is a term used in the field of linguistics to describe the smallest units of sound that distinguish meaning in a language. These units are called phonemes. The term "fönemic" is a portmanteau of "phoneme" and "fön" (a Swedish word meaning "sound"). The concept of phonemes is fundamental to the study of phonology, the branch of linguistics that deals with the sound systems of languages.

Phonemes are the building blocks of spoken language, and they can vary significantly between different languages.
