Emporion
Emporion, also known as Empúries, is an archaeological site located on the coast of Catalonia, Spain, in the province of Girona. It was an ancient Greek city, founded in the 6th century BCE by colonists from the Greek city of Massalia (modern-day Marseille). The site consists of two main parts: the Old Town (Palaiá Polis), the original Greek settlement, and the Roman City, which developed later.
