Dopérations
Dopérations refers to a variety of mathematical operations, fundamentally the fundamental actions performed on numbers. The most basic and widely recognized operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Addition involves combining quantities, while subtraction finds the difference between them. Multiplication is a repeated addition, and division is the inverse, determining how many times one number is contained within another. Beyond these four, other operations exist, such as exponentiation, which represents repeated multiplication, and roots, which are the inverse of exponentiation. In abstract algebra, operations can be defined on sets beyond numbers, such as set union or intersection, or Boolean logic operations like AND, OR, and NOT. The concept of an operation is a cornerstone of mathematics, providing the tools to manipulate and understand quantities and relationships. The order in which operations are performed is governed by specific rules, often summarized by acronyms like PEMDAS or BODMAS, ensuring consistent and unambiguous results in calculations.
