DieselKomponenten refers to the individual parts and systems that make up a diesel engine's fuel injection system. These components are crucial for delivering precisely metered fuel into the combustion chamber at the correct time and pressure. The primary components typically include the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, injectors, and in some systems, a fuel rail or injection pump.

The fuel tank stores the diesel fuel. The fuel pump draws fuel from the tank and supplies it under pressure. Before reaching the injection system, the fuel passes through a fuel filter to remove any contaminants that could damage sensitive components. Fuel lines transport the pressurized fuel.

The core of the diesel fuel system is the injection system itself, which can be a common rail system or a unit injector system. In a common rail system, a high-pressure pump pressurizes fuel and stores it in a common rail. This pressurized fuel is then distributed to individual injectors, which electronically controlled by the engine's control unit (ECU) to spray the fuel into the cylinders. In a unit injector system, each cylinder has its own injector that also houses the high-pressure pump, activated by the camshaft.

The injectors are responsible for atomizing the diesel fuel into a fine mist, ensuring efficient combustion. The precise control over fuel delivery by these components is essential for the diesel engine's performance, fuel economy, and emissions.
