Cenepa
Cenepa, or the Central Nepal People's Army, is a political party in Nepal. It was founded in 1990 by Madan Bhandari, a prominent Nepalese politician and former Prime Minister. The party is known for its leftist ideology and has been a significant player in Nepal's political landscape since its inception. Cenepa has participated in various coalitions and alliances, including the United Left Front, which was a major opposition force in Nepal during the 2000s. The party has also been involved in the Maoist insurgency, which was a major conflict in Nepal from 1996 to 2006. Despite its historical role, Cenepa has faced challenges in recent years, including internal divisions and a decline in support. The party continues to be a part of Nepal's political scene, although its influence has diminished compared to its peak in the past.
