Bogazkale is a town and district in the Çorum Province of Turkey. It is located in the central Black Sea region of Anatolia. The town is situated on a hilly landscape. Bogazkale is most famous for being the site of the ancient Hittite capital city of Hattusa. Hattusa was a major center of the Hittite Empire, which flourished in the Late Bronze Age.
