Aurustumistsükliks, also known as the vaporization cycle, is a thermodynamic process that describes the transition of a substance from a liquid state to a gaseous state. This transformation is driven by the absorption of energy, typically in the form of heat. The energy input increases the kinetic energy of the molecules within the liquid, allowing them to overcome the intermolecular forces holding them together and escape into the gas phase.
