Athína

Athína, known in English as Athens, is the capital and largest city of Greece. It is located in the region of Attica in southern Greece. The city proper has around 660,000 residents, while the wider Athens metropolitan area is home to several million people. The city sits at the center of Greek history and culture and serves as the political and economic heart of the country.

Historically, Athína is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It was a leading city of ancient Greece and the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and theater.
