Arkéoissa
Arkéoissa is a genus of prehistoric marine reptiles belonging to the extinct order Plesiosauria. These creatures inhabited the oceans during the Mesozoic Era, specifically during the Late Cretaceous period. While fossils are rare, the available evidence suggests that Arkéoissa were medium-sized plesiosaurs, likely possessing the characteristic long neck and four paddle-like limbs common to this group. Their diet is presumed to have consisted of fish and other small marine organisms, based on the feeding adaptations observed in related plesiosaur species.
The genus Arkéoissa was first described based on fossil remains discovered in sedimentary rock formations. The
