Északamerikai

ÉszakAmerikai is a Hungarian term used as an adjective or demonym to refer to North America or to people and cultures associated with that region. In standard Hungarian, the common form is Észak-amerikai, and it can function as both an adjective (Észak-amerikai kultúra) and a noun (egy Észak-amerikai).

The term derives from Észak (north) and Amerika (America), combined with the adjectival suffix -i. The hyphenated spelling Észak-amerikai is the normative form in contemporary Hungarian.

Geography: North America is located in the northern hemisphere and comprises three large sovereign states—Canada, the United States, and Mexico—along with numerous Central American and Caribbean nations. Geographically, Greenland is part of North America, and some classifications also include other nearby territories.

People and culture: North America is highly diverse in language, ethnicity, and religion. The dominant languages are English and Spanish, with French widely used in parts of Canada. The term Észak-amerikai can describe people from this region (Észak-amerikaiak) or things of North American origin, such as Észak-amerikai cuisine or literature.
