zezirzirs

The zezirzirs are a small passerine bird described within the fictional biogeography of Eldara. Endemic to the Mistwood Archipelago, they inhabit montane forests and forest edges from roughly 400 to 1,400 meters above sea level. The name zezirzir derives from the Zhara language, meaning “twilight chorus,” in reference to the birds’ vocalizations.

Adults measure about 11–13 centimeters in length and weigh roughly 12–15 grams. They display iridescent emerald-green

Ze zirzirs form small flocks outside the breeding season and maintain long-term pair bonds. They are diurnal,

Reproduction occurs during the local spring and early summer, with nests placed in dense shrubs or understory

Conservation status in this setting is generally not listed as threatened, owing to the zezirzirs’ relatively
