Vetërbikes refers to the Albanian term for motorcycles made entirely within Albania, in this case, the country's capacity to produce their own motorized two-wheeled vehicles. Vetërbikes have been a consistent part of Albania's industry since after the World War II.

Manufacture of motorcycles in Albania began in the 1940s when Shqiponja was established. This motorcycle, which initially didn't match the renowned domestic and international products in its category, showed signs of improvement as time went by. Although development and production were subsequently impeded by an uncooked period and from nearby turmoil of disruption, it continues to have advanced significantly.
