A täytäntöönpanoperuste is a legal term in Finnish law that translates to a "ground for enforcement." It refers to a legal basis or instrument that allows for the compulsory execution of a debt or obligation. Essentially, it is a document or decision that proves a creditor's right to demand payment or performance from a debtor, and which can be used to initiate enforcement proceedings through the enforcement authorities.

Common examples of täytännönpanoperuste include court judgments, arbitration awards, and certain types of notarial deeds or agreements that have been explicitly made enforceable. A debt that is merely owed, without any formal legal backing, does not automatically qualify as a ground for enforcement. The täytännönpanoperuste provides the necessary legal authority for the enforcement bailiff (ulosottomies) to take measures such as seizing assets, garnishing wages, or evicting a tenant to satisfy the creditor's claim. The existence of a valid täytännönpanoperuste is a prerequisite for any legal enforcement action to commence in Finland. Without it, a creditor cannot compel a debtor to fulfill their obligations through the state's enforcement system.
