Solicitadas is a term used in Spanish to refer to public notices or classified advertisements in which a person or organization requests information, services, or contact with a recipient. The word is derived from solicitar, meaning to solicit or request. It is most often encountered in historical or regional newspaper contexts.

In 19th- and early 20th-century newspapers, a section or column titled Solicitadas published brief notices such as “Se solicita empleado,” “Se buscan herederos,” or “Solicito información sobre el paradero de…” These notices were directed at a broad audience and typically included only essential details and a method of contact.

Content and format of solicitadas are generally concise, often a single sentence or short paragraph. They describe the purpose of the notice—employment, servicios, noticias sobre una persona desaparecida, búsqueda de información, anuncios de eventos, o la ubicación de objetos—y proporcionan un teléfono, dirección o nombre para responder.

Contemporary usage of the term is limited. Today, newspapers and digital media more commonly use “avisos,” “clasificados” o “anuncios clasificados” to categorize similar content. Some regional outlets preserve Solicitadas as a historical category or in specialized publications, but the term is less common in everyday journalism.
