Sektory is a Polish term meaning parts or areas of a whole, used in several domains to denote subdivisions with similar characteristics. In geometry, a circular sector is the region of a circle bounded by two radii and the included arc. It is defined by its central angle and radius, and its area is A = 1/2 r^2 θ (when θ is in radians), or A = (θ/360) π r^2 (when θ is in degrees). The length of the bounding arc is s = r θ (with θ in radians). The sector’s proportions correspond to the fraction θ/(2π) of the circle.
