Radiaatoritest is the Estonian genitive plural form of radiaator, meaning "of radiators" or "concerning radiators." In Estonian texts, this form is used when discussing radiators collectively, such as in technical manuals, product descriptions, or regulatory documents. It does not refer to a specific model, but to radiators as a category.

Radiators are heat emitters that transfer thermal energy from a heat source to a room, primarily by convection and radiation. The most common type in homes is hydronic (hot water) radiators connected to a boiler or heat pump; electric radiators use electrical resistance elements. Hydronic systems circulate water, radiating heat from the metal surface to the surrounding air.

Common radiator materials include cast iron, steel, and aluminium. Cast iron radiators retain heat longer but respond slowly; steel and aluminium radiators heat up and cool quickly, allowing smaller sizes and better efficiency. The overall heat output is measured in kilowatts (kW) or BTU/h and depends on size, material, and installation.

Efficiency considerations include proper sizing, placement to promote even convection, and the use of thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) for zone control. Regular maintenance—bleeding trapped air, checking valves, and removing dust from fins—helps maintain performance and energy use. Safety concerns include scalding risk and overheating.

Radiaatoritest also appear in discussions of building energy efficiency, regulation, and retrofit projects aimed at reducing heating costs or improving comfort in older buildings.
