Inicjatywami is a term used to describe actions by individuals or groups aimed at initiating changes in public policy, social life, or organizational practice. The plural instrumental form is encountered in Polish linguistic usage when describing initiatives carried out by various actors. In a broad sense, initiatives can be political, civic, social, or corporate in scope, and they may emerge as grassroots campaigns, formal legislative processes, or corporate programs.

In political and civic contexts, citizen initiatives refer to organized efforts to propose, amend, or repeal laws or policies.
