The movement is centered around the belief that Jesus Christ will return to Norway, specifically to the city of Oslo, to establish a new kingdom. This belief is based on interpretations of biblical passages, particularly the Book of Revelation, where Oslo is seen as a significant location tied to the Second Coming.

The movement’s name comes from the Norwegian phrase "gjøre gjere," which loosely translates to "do the work"
