Empatyczne is a Polish adjective describing actions, attitudes, or people that display empathy. The term signifies an ability to understand and share the feelings of others. In everyday language it is used to describe communication, relationships, and professional practices that take others’ emotions into account.

It derives from the noun empatia (empathy) and the adjectival suffix -czny. The base stem empaty- yields forms such as empatyczny (masculine), empatyczna (feminine), and empatyczne (neuter), with appropriate plural forms in context (for example, empatyczne zachowania). The forms agree with the nouns they describe.

In practice, empatyczne appears in psychology, education, health care, management, and design to label approaches that acknowledge other people’s perspectives. Examples include empatyczne podejście do pacjenta (empathetic approach to the patient), empatyczne komunikowanie (empathic communication), and empatyczne projektowanie (empathetic design).

Empatyczne differs from sympathetic (sympatyczny) and compassionate (współczujący). Sympathy often conveys a sense of liking or pity, while empathy emphasizes understanding another’s emotional state.
